We were happy to be contacted by Aramark to learn that they not only were inviting Ocean Defenders Alliance (ODA) to apply for a grant, but they wanted to roll-up their sleeves and help clean a local beach!

On their special Aramark Building Community Day on May 2nd, multiple Aramark business lines joined forces with ODA to remove trash from Huntington Beach in California.
Their sales and marketing employee Yamid Duarte said, “Our beach clean-up aimed to support the efforts of Ocean Defenders Alliance, and we were thrilled to contribute $5,000 to your cause.
We had a total of 40 enthusiastic volunteers who dedicated a total of 150 volunteer hours and cleaned 2.3 miles of beach shoreline.”
ODA is very thankful for both the financial support and to meet so many people who are willing to spend some time caring for our ocean coastline.
We hope to do this again next year!
