Kim is a passionate ocean advocate with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a J.D. with honors from Lewis & Clark Law School, specializing in Animal and Environmental Law. During law school, she served as Editor in Chief of the internationally acclaimed Animal Law Review and interned with the National Center for Animal Law, the International Environmental Law Project, and the Centre for Environmental Justice.
From 2012-13, Kim served as Executive Director of the One World One Ocean Foundation, and she previously worked for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in a variety of roles, including Executive Director, Director of Campaigns, and Director of Legal Affairs. Kim also loves land animals and has an excellent opportunity to help them since 2015 through her role as executive director at Big Life Foundation. Kim is a member of MENSA (the “high IQ society”) and scuba diver with a special fondness for sharks.
